365体育足球比分网London and Online, 1–30 July 2020

This July, Christie’s London presents an expanded, hybrid Classic Week. Explore art from antiquity to the 21th century through eight online-only auctions and four live auctions, including several fascinating private collections. The series culminates on 29 July with an innovative new Classic Art Evening Sale, combining exceptional Old Master paintings, drawings, sculpture, books, furniture and objects.

Highlights across the month range from an Egyptian coffin mask to the personal prayer book of Mary Queen of Scots, a fine engraving of Dürer’s iconic Melencolia I to a luminous Clausen portrait. Remastered, a curated sale of Old Master paintings paired with contemporary art, continues the conversation into the 21st century.

Explore the sales online now and in person at our King Street galleries, by appointment only, from 11 July onwards.

A guide to bidding online or by telephone with Christie’s

All of Christie’s auctions are fully accessible for online browsing and bidding, meaning you can easily place a bid from the comfort of your home through Christie’s LIVE™, or alternatively by telephone. In 2019, over half of all bids placed were online, and for live auctions, telephone bids made up 41 per cent of winning bids versus 18 per cent within the saleroom — so you’re in good company.
